Our average student-to-teacher ratio is 15:1, allowing for personalized attention and instruction. We maintain small class sizes to ensure each student receives the support and guidance they need to thrive academically and personally. Lower elementary classes (K-2) typically have 12-14 students, while upper grades may have up to 18 students per class.
While we accept applications throughout the year on a rolling basis as space permits, we encourage families to apply by our priority deadline of December 15. Applications received by this date receive priority consideration for admission and financial aid. For grades that typically fill quickly, early application is strongly recommended.
Yes, Truth Academy offers limited bus transportation services for students living within a 15-mile radius of our campus. Our transportation routes cover major residential areas in El Paso and neighboring communities. Transportation fees are $1,200 per year for round-trip service or $750 for one-way service. Many families also participate in our parent carpool program, which we help coordinate at the beginning of each school year.
Truth Academy offers a Learning Support Program for students with mild to moderate learning differences. Our dedicated learning specialists provide individualized support, classroom accommodations, and specialized instruction as needed. We can accommodate students with documented learning differences such as dyslexia, ADHD, and processing disorders. During the admissions process, we carefully review each student's needs to ensure we can provide appropriate support for their success.
Yes, we accept mid-year transfers when space is available. Families moving to the area or seeking a change in their child's educational environment are welcome to apply at any time during the school year. The admissions process for mid-year applicants is the same as for regular applicants, though decisions are typically made more quickly to accommodate families' needs.
Truth Academy takes a balanced approach to technology integration. We believe technology should enhance learning without replacing essential human interactions and traditional learning methods. Lower school students have access to shared devices and computer labs, while middle and high school students participate in our 1:1 device program. All technology use is purposeful, guided, and aligned with our curriculum goals. Digital citizenship and responsible technology use are taught at all grade levels.
Truth Academy offers a wide range of extracurricular activities to enrich students' educational experience. Our athletic program includes basketball, volleyball, soccer, track, and cross-country. Arts opportunities include choir, band, orchestra, theater, and visual arts. We also offer clubs such as robotics, debate, chess, environmental science, and community service. Most activities are included in tuition, though some specialized programs may have additional fees.
As a faith-based institution, Truth Academy integrates Christian principles throughout our curriculum and daily activities. Students attend weekly chapel services and take Bible classes appropriate to their grade level. Our approach emphasizes core values such as compassion, integrity, respect, and service to others. While we welcome students from all faith backgrounds, families should be comfortable with the school's Christian foundation and values-based approach to education.
